What is TAY?
TAY are young people transitioning from foster care, including those who age out of the child welfare system at 18. While they may legally be adults, they are still learning how to navigate housing, education, employment, finances, healthcare, and everyday life skills — often without the support of a family or safety net.
They are expected to become self-sufficient — but often with very limited resources and very little room for error.
